Hi everyone. I see the day hasn't been to horrible.

Gunner survived his first day of kitchen confinement. We have tall baby gates mounted in the doorways. He could see the others and interact some through the gates but no one could get grumpy with him or accidentally step on his tiny self.

This weekend should have us in the upper 60's. I am hoping to get some flower beds cleaned up. I may even attempt to plant lettuce and flower seeds.

Glad Gunner is doing well.

I managed to harvest a jake. I had 4 locked up since they were 8 or so weeks and flying in the trees. The owls were picking them off. The jenny went to a friend.
He was only 12lbs live, 8 months, so confinement didn't help put on weight. The ones running around were dressing out 10 to 12 lbs at 6 months. He was the biggest of the 3.

Good morning everyone,

Well, not so good for me. Over the weekend we modified our carport pig pen so there is a creep area for the piglets and a hog panel down the center to separate our current mama from the other sow. Her water dish was full of hay and I needed to empty it before filling it back up. I swung my right leg over the hog panel (my legs are long enough to allow me to straddle a hog panel) and as I swung my left leg over I twisted my right knee and heard it pop. It hurts pretty badly. After we got the boys to sleep, DH and I went to the ER while my mom stayed to care for the boys, she got the Milk Drinker back to sleep twice. We don't know at this point if my knee is just sprained or if I tore a ligament or meniscus. This is the same knee I tore the meniscus in 23 years ago when I was skiing. Good grief, has it really been that long since I was 13?!?! I have crutches and a knee immobilizer, I'm not wearing the immobilizer at home because it just makes it difficult to sit and maneuver around the house. I'm waiting to hear back from Ortho to see if I need an MRI.
