Well, things have been crazy here. We took our van to the auto shop on Tuesday. They worked on it and said the issues with not being able to go over 2500RPM was because the air conditioner compressor was bad and that screwed with the engine. We then asked if they had tracked down the coolant leak we told them about. When they did that, they found that not only were the coolant lines bad but because of that, the head gasket needed to be replaced. This put the repairs at around $1500 which is about what the minivan was worth. They told us all this yesterday. So we decided to find another car. And my mom found a gem. It’s almost her special gift, finding good used cars when you need them most. It is a 2003 garage kept Ford Winstar with 54k miles on it for $5000. It’s pretty dirty at the moment and the gas in the tank is old but my dad (who was an auto mechanic back in the 70s) said it was a good deal. The couple who showed it to us were selling it for their older neighbor lady who can’t use her vehicles anymore. We weren’t able to pick it up today, because we couldn’t get our hands on that much cash over the weekend because of ATM withdrawal limits on our debit cards, but put down a deposit got the cash we could today and we’ll get the rest of the amount after church tomorrow and pick up the van.Hi guys
