Hi folks,

How are things going we finally seem to be coming around. The Things caught what was either what the Milk Drinker had or a stomach bug that was going around. Not sure. But they are better now.

Stupid around 14 WK chick is back in the tree. Now I'm not sure if it is a cockerel. I was assuming because of size and actions. But looks like a pullet. If it doesn't learn to go in at night I may harvest at 16 weeks, September 5th, anyway
I feel this way about half my guineas. We feed them in their pen at night to get them to let us shut them in. I was a bit late getting out yesterday and half of them slept in the walnut trees behind the house. Two of them are missing. GRRR. I’ll have to go out earlier today because I don’t want them to start roosting in the trees.

Thankfully! We have 16 good guinea eggs that are hatching. Today is day 24. The air cells are drawn down and I can see their little beaks moving around in the air cells. One has pipped! Hopefully they all hatch before we leave to visit DH’s grandmother on Friday. I didn’t calculate that into my plans when I set the eggs in the incubator. But things are looking up. We aren’t leaving until 9-10 on Friday so hopefully we’ll know one way or another. 16 out of 22 eggs that were sitting outside for who knows how long, is great!
