Pigeon Talk

It made me laugh, lol.

I'm not really great with breeds, but are you keeping him in a cage or something where you could get a picture of him in his natural stance?
I will bring him tonight and have him stand on the table and snap a picture.

A wire basket like this one would be great to prevent him flying around your house.:D

I was thinking maybe he might be an oriental roller pigeon that got lost while being flown, since they have sort of fan-like tails as well, if his tail isn't as extreme as a fantail:

That's a good bet too, without seeing the tail I had thought maybe a roller of some kind. I didn't know of that kind with a full tail. I would also bet his owner is not that far from OP:)
And what a good looker that bird!

@h2oratt Good on you for trying to help the poor thing. Be warned, you may fall in love :D I hope you find the owner.

FYI, It’s easier to hold a pigeon a little differently than a chicken
Try this:

:goodpost: Those are the clearest illustration of the 'correct' way to hold a pigeon that I have seen! In the 2nd one with the pigeon's chest barely touching the owner seems to relax the birds. In the first pic, you can take your other hand and cup the chest whilst holding the beak between your fingers to pose the head and show off eyes and face.
