I understand your worry, I have had this happen to me. What feed is she on? And does she have access to oyster shells? Have there been any change in routine that could be the causing stress? How many ducks do you have?
What is happening is that her body is not producing enough calcium to cover the egg she is trying to make. Access to oyster shells is good to have because it gives her the added calcium she needs, she knows when she needs it and will eat it if available.
It won't hurt to try and give her a warm bath, it can be relaxing for her.
Thank you for your help! I will buy some oyster shells and make sure that’s available to her, and I’ll also give her a warm bath. Do you know if putting Epsom salts in the bath will help?
