I am in the process of scraping my sister loose. Thirty days ago I gave her thirty days notice. She has permanent disability and gets $1200/mo but refuses to pay rent. She has been here three years and barely will wash a dish or buy a bag of food. She sleeps all day and messes around online entertaining herself. She ususally has an Ipod stuck in her ears too so she is worthless if I call her to do something like turn on the porch light, or water the lawn... It has just gotten old... WAY old. Anyhow, today I asked her if she was moving out and I think she has found out that a bad credit score and no references is a hindrance. I wonder how tough she will find it to be with an eviction on top of that... I am just so SiCK of her sense of entitlement and all. She was very sick when she moved in, but she just ain't that sick any more, even though she still draws a check every month. She could hold a job, maybe not a high pay one, but she could drag home some money and she could wash a dish or wipe down the shower once or twice a month... but she won't. Adios, one way or another she is headed on a new adventure. I drove her by some nice looking apartments today that had a sign outside, "$99 moves you in" and "Free Wi-Fi for our Residents" She said she would go check it out.
You are NOT being mean. Draw the line any freaking where you want it and make her toe it. Your house, your rules. Otherwise, sayonara.
