10 quarts of chicken soup in the canner today.
Next up is either salsa or pizza sauce
then catawba jelly.

Tomorrow I think I'm going to put the compost in the heavy soil garden. It's up a steep hill, so I don't know how much I'll get up there. (I have to haul it up in a cart. Good for the calf muscles. )

I really need to get that pile out of its slot in the compost bins. I have a huge pile that's waiting to start its own compost journey.

Tomorrow might be stormy and rainy, and I'll have an excuse not to work so hard when it's 88 with 95% humidity.

Nah. I don't like it, but you learn to move REALLY slow, wear next to nothing, wet cloths in your hat and around your neck and breaks in the cool when you can. LOTS of water to drink. and clean dry underthings and socks before you go back out again.

30 half pints of catawba jelly done - one done up well for the state fair and set to enter

4 1/2 pints of salsa from the MrsWages mix. DH and DS will eat about anything. I think it's stinky. I'll stick to commercial.

Tomorrow I think I'll do up some pizza sauce.

I don't bother buying the Mrs. Wages seasoning for anything. From what I hear, it's not that great tasting.

I had good luck with the pickles a few years ago.

I got these free.

I had some Mrs wages laying around and used it. Had a salsa packet too Kinda feels like cheating a little. I added some onions and a couple jalapeños that were supposed to be mild …
Mrs wage’s dill pickle mix is pretty good, imo.
