I make these every year for Christmas presents and folks love them! The only change I've made to the recipe over the years is I use a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.I use
1 Pound of pecan halves
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 t kosher salt
1.5 T cinnamon
1 egg white beaten to soft peak
Preheat oven to 300
Beat the egg white until soft peak and fold in the pecans.
Mix everything else together in a small bowl and then toss onto the pecans.
Spray a cookie/jelly roll sheet with sides with cooking spray.
Toss the pecans onto the pan and into the oven they go.
Bake one hour stirring well every 15 minutes.
Allow to cool well before putting in a ziploc bag or a jar.
I use half cinnamon and half scandinavian spice, which is not something people normally have in their cupboards. LOL.I make these every year for Christmas presents and folks love them! The only change I've made to the recipe over the years is I use a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
