That is awesome! you have a great mix. Well I will be happy when the whites let the browns sleep on the roost without me intervening :gig
The rooster will take over the intervening when they start laying! Mine will put himself between a hen and the one she is picking on. It is funny to watch! Then he mates the trouble making hen (usually a White Rock).

Oh I hope so, amazingly enough, Bob Rooster has been very good with the chicks, better than the hens have. He has gotten after the once I saw, he too didnt want them on the roost. I may have to make another root rack.

The old birds might want to guard their spot, but if there is enough space they can't guard all of it! Mine fight over who gets to roost next to the rooster! Lower ranked girls have to sleep on the far ends. It is very interesting to watch them.

Thats what the 3 year olds did with the current one year old, but there wasnt a 3 year old rooster, now rooster is one yr.

this was this morning while I was scooping under the 2 roosts, I moved one of them so I could scoop,

You would think that the young ones had cooties! Yes, on the extra feeders. I have one with all flock for the rooster and non-layers, and one with layer. The layers eat all the all flock, so then I have to put out oyster shell.
