Rooster sitting on eggs?!!

Staggered hatches might be hard but I have had good success with Staggered hatches, this year I hatched 8 call ducklings (2 of which died for other reasons) first baby hatched 7th April the next 4 hatched 16th April and last 3 hatched 2nd May, they all stayed in the same incubator through their whole incubation and hatching

If you want any Info on staggered hatching or if you get pictures of the candling and can't figure out how old they are am happy to help 😊

Good luck
Ok thanks. If you have some information you think is important for making it work, please inform me.

Have the humidity right for the younger eggs and keep the hatching eggs away from the eggs not hatching, you don't want the babys to knock into the eggs that are not ready to hatch,
I have to hand turn all my eggs (I don't have a turner) and I didn't find any problems with me opening the incubator 5 times a day, just watch the eggs closely for any signs of shrink wrap

The humidity, my problem is that my humidity sensor is lying as it is cheap and it also has temperature which always shows the wrong temperature so I can't trust it.
I am currently not controlling the humidity but only the temperature. The humidity naturally in Malaysia is high as it is tropical, usually around 80% or basically in the range of 70-90%, but I am using styrofoam which could affect the humidity inside. I currently have eggs in my incubator as well actually. I put some which I wasn't sure if they will work, as they were quite old, and they seem to not change, some seem to show what might be the ring whatever it was called which means it died, but one of the chicken eggs has a heart already and it is alive, I can see the heart pumping, there are blood vessels around it that looks like a spider web, so it's currently day 6 I think if I remember correctly. Maybe day 5. I might add other eggs as well. If any egg hatch, I can move it out so other eggs can hatch.

Again, thank you very much for helping. I didn't have time to open the links you sent now but I will check them out

Check out amazon or similar, their are lots of good humidity sensors

I never use to measure humidity but when I was hatching call ducks I had little success, calls are hard to hatch but i was trying every thing to get success, the first year all the eggs died the second year I got 1 duckling out of 20 eggs and finally this year I got 8 ducklings out of 11 eggs

I would recommend getting a better humidity sensor as I did find it helped

Ok, thanks.
I am not sure if I will buy one this time, as I can only see one of the eggs in the incubator with a heart, and so the rest might be removed later, and then I might add more eggs when my chicken lays.

I think this chicken's egg is sensitive as it needs to be placed in the incubator in the same day, because the only egg that got a heart is the one that was placed in the same day, and I did hear one of the Malaysians talk about these chickens and said we should take an egg from each chicken and incubate in the same day rather than take eggs and store them until the chicken lays more eggs.

I am not entirely sure though

Okay
Can I ask what breed your chicken is?
I have never heard of a chicken egg being that sensitive but maybe

It's a local breed in Malaysia called "Ayam Gajah" which means "elephant chicken", it is called that because the male has a long and large leg, and looks so big when it is standing.

I read online in Malaysian websites that this breed doesn't usually sit on eggs except rarely, but lays around 200 eggs a year or a bit less. I didn't buy it like that, as the shop told me it is "Ayam Kampung", which means "Village chicken", but they look so similar when small so I think he sold me the other breed accidentally as it doesn't look like any Ayam Kampung I have seen before. It looks different, and the male has firm legs, and in general it looks so similar in the photos.

I think it could also be not that sensitive usually but because these are all pullet eggs, as it is from the first few eggs it layed.

Yeah it is probably that

are the eggs normal sized??

If you don't mind could you post a picture of you pullet/s
The eggs are small, but it seems to be getting bigger with time.

Here is my pullet, but I didn't take pictures of my other pullet and my cockerel (I have two pullets and one cockerel, but the second pullet still didn't lay eggs, I think it will start laying very soon, but the second pullet is a different breed, it is Ayam Kampung actually.)
