I'm so sorry. You've given her a nice, long life so don't feel bad that you can solve this problem. Sometimes it's their time to go and all we can do is make them as comfortable as possible.

Val is passing. As I was preparing to bathe the remaining poop and blood off of her, I found a problem I hadn't noticed before. It seems the stuck poop was the big issue the whole time. She has a massive infection on/in her cloaca. Lots of maggots. She is barely conscious now, and is close to death. It's too late to get a vet. I've put her back in the cage and surrounded her with hay. I put old towels and blanket on top and around the cage. I can't imagine how much pain she is in. I wish I could help her. At least she's warm and safe.
I'm very sorry about Val:hugs

I know it's a hard thing to do, but it would be good to go ahead and put her out of her misery since you feel that she is in pain. Do you have a friend, neighbor or relative that can help you with that?

I've tried to get my dad, who lives right next door, to do it. But he refuses to do it. I don't know anybody else who can. I wish I could end it for her, but it's not possible.
At least she'll die with watermelon and strawberry in her stomach, and surrounded by hay in a warm safe environment. It's the best I can do.
