Should I adopt this new chicken?!

I have integrated chickens into my flock. Always quarantined them with the exception of the first time. One of the new ones was sick and respiratory infection spread throughout my flock. I don't integrate into my flock now because it's a lot of work and I'm 3 days older than dirt. LOL. This is all good advice, but in the end it needs to be if the person is willing to go the extra mile to go the extra mile to quarantine the new bird. Love this link. So much info.

Not believing your info at all...Ducks do not get Mereks..That is absolutely false and I will not debate back and forth...Pointless and silly,,,

Thank you guys for all your advice. I decided not to keep the bantam chicken but will help him find a new home because I don't want to risk it. Also, it would be a little hard right now to take on a new chicken and quarantine/introduce a new chicken due to a recent hip break and surgery I just had due to horse riding, but I have my husband taking care of the chickens while I'm healing, little confused on how the subject changed to duck diseases so quick though, but thanks to all the people who helped steer me in the right direction with my discussion, hope to find him a good home for the little guy soon, even though it was so tempting to add another to my flock.
