The Red Leghorns really are much smaller than the other Leghorns

In the second picture the chicken looks like she is sitting on a roost.

If it is a roost what is it made out of?

Looks sturdy and I'm looking for something different.

I have 2 2X4's, they were a bi higher ( do you see that white piece of wood on the left a bit higher on the back wall - that is where the roots were) but we lowered them so they could jump down easier

I`m up, 4:30am, my hip kept me awake for the last 2 hours. 5am coffees ready! I think I will go take a chicken out of the freezer for our 2pm supper.
