It's crazy how Millie/Noah has such a big tail but other than that the similarities are undeniable. The funny thing is that Millie/Noah was sold as a barred cochin pullet. I'm not sure if the black colors grow out some white feathers in the beginning but I haven't seen a trace of barred patterns yet. I've been thinking (s)he's a black cochin.

That's not a barred cochin. He's black - and yes, I believe he is a he.

My Black Cochin's feathers have an iridescent green sheen to them as well.
How is your rooster? I've heard they're great. We had a cochin cockerel a few years ago but had to re-home him right when he started crowing. He was very skittish.

Can't believe nobody else has pointed this out, but he's not a Cochin. He's got white skin, not yellow. He's a Marans.
Noah actually had black on his legs with maybe white. Looking at some photos (not uploaded) of the buff one and it looks like her legs are pinkish. I'll take a closer look tomorrow though.

His new name is Georgie. I do have doubts that he's a cochin considering his foot color and tail feathers. They are now 10 weeks old.
