I am in love! He is absolutely darling! Too cute!!! I must have!I've had silkies with walnut combs that are split at the head of the beak. Not sure if I have any pictures of the young birds combs or not though.
Just found a picture of a silkie cockerel I sold. His name is Nugget.

I am wondering if you didn’t somehow get an easter egger with that one. It reminds me of them....I decided to show a side by side comparison, the smaller/lighter one with the single comb is one of the crested cream legbars we hatched 3 weeks ago, the other one is our mystery bird.
I contacted the lady I purchased them from and asked what other birds the person she got the eggs from have in their flock. That was days ago and she still hasn’t gotten back to me. An Easter egger would make sense if they got the eggs mixed up, but do they typically have a walnut comb?I am wondering if you didn’t somehow get an easter egger with that one. I haven’t noticed a lavender hue in either of them, but the cream legbar cockerel is quite a bit lighter than the other *assumed* cockerel we hatched. It has a lavender hue to it kind of don’t you think?
It maybe just my view of the pic on my end is all probably.I haven’t noticed a lavender hue in either of them, but the cream legbar cockerel is quite a bit lighter than the other *assumed* cockerel we hatched.
