Awesome, next time were in town, we'll see about getting organ, liver, heart, and muscle meat, organic vegetation of my choice, mussels, and bony meat like chicken necks. Then, I'll order wild alaskan salmon oil for coat heath, and get Broccoli, Sweet Potato, and Beets for vegetation.Sounds like a good plan. How old is comet?
i totally agree. I highly doubt be has joint issues, thought my dad is convinced its something close to that. I think its an allergy, and issues from his food. I can't wait to change his food and see what happens! It would be a miracle if we could get his limp figured out.At 5 years old, Comet shouldnt be dealing with joint issues unless he has hereditary/genetic health problems.
I strongly believe that his body is most likely inflamed from kibble. A month or two of raw should turn that around.
Probably. I've never had to go to one, so I don't know, but surly we do. Were pretty far from town anyway, so I'm not able to run a few minuets down to street to a store. We make weekly trips to town though, so probably next week we'll be abel to gather ingredients. I'll make a point to stop at an Asian market as well! Thank you!Do you have an Asian Market near you?
Heres all their recipes to, tell me if you like one more then this one! After subscribing, I got access to this recipe. The protein options were beef, (which I will eventually substitute for deer) chicken or turkey. I picked Turkey, since I like that option better then beef for some reason, and its easy to digest for possible allergies.
Heres the recipe, tell me what you think! https://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/homemade-raw-turkey-dog-food-recipe/
Sad you lost herI've been making homemade food for my dogs for the last 5 years or so. It started when my little girl almost died. Long story short, a special low protein diet recipe was created for her by a nutritional specialist. My boy, her brother, also got it because his kidneys were showing damage. Part of the recipe included adding Balance IT K. It's "Vitamin, mineral, and amino acid powder to create homemade dog food. Just mix with fresh foods you like to feed and your dog enjoys." Since their diet was so specialized I don't know anything about what a typical dog would need but here's the website. They also have a recipe tool.

My little girl passed in September and my boy is in end stage kidney failure. He stopped eating his regular food so now he gets whatever he will eat. Not cooking for them anymore has been nice. It's one less thing to stress over so I won't be continuing homemade for any future dogs. I might look into getting prepared raw food delivered.
