Swollen side of face, Cyst Surgery

I wanted to add this recent eye infection to show how I cured it before it turned into a cyst. I noticed that my almost 2 year old pied was not one of the first peas out the door. He was hanging up top in the shed for a few days, actually the very top raffters and I would need something to get him down. I tried a piece of wood and when it was held almost to his face he did not move so I knew something was wrong. I did not want to force him down so I waited til dark when he would be completely settled. Well he had a very bad sinus infection but it was not hard so there was no cyst. I bought him outside and gave him a shot of Baytril. I didn't think Tylan 200 was going to cut it and it was looking to bad to take any chances. I gave him 2cc of Bird Baytril injected under the skin at the base of the neck. Today was day four and there is no sign of the infection that I could see. To be sure I got it all I will now give him a shot of Tylan 200 on the 7th day. Here are some pictures of what I used. I will post a picture of what he looks like on the 5th days tomorrow night.

Ok here is what my young peacock looked like yesterday December 3. Still has a little tiny bit of swolling around the eye. I put some Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair eye cream around the eye for a more youthful look --- only kidding LMAO!!!

I gave him some tylan 200 and he will be fine in a couple days. Trying to catch the infection in time is key to saving the actual eye. It can be tricky to notice when a bird has an infection when you have a lot of them. They hide it so well and keep running around like nothing is wrong until they start to act differently. With mine they stay up in the rafters and when they do I know there is a respiratory infection in the works. When I close everything up at night I try to look for runny noses, a sure sign of an infection starting but can't see the faces when they are above my head, but I do try

That looks just like  a bottle that I bought from http://www.allbirdproducts.com/newproductpages/baytril.html several years ago.

Ok. I think that's a good website to purchase from.

Yes that is where I get it from :) It says you can mix it with water but I don't
