i also have had this problem with my pheasants and peacocks...i didnt know about the tylan.. what i did was gently massage and squeze below the eye to push the mucus out and then cleaned it up and put some vicks over the nasal area

I also agree with the separation and Tylan. It looks like my turkey's when they got sinusitis. I injected tylan into the area under the eye, but take special care around the eye! I sit on them, (not all my weight) hole the head with one hand and inject with the other. If needed get someone to help hold. DO NOT DO IM (inter-muscular) it can cause permanent damage at the site. Clears up very fast. I also use "Vet Rx" in their water to help keep everything clear. For me this stuff is awesome! I use it on the barn cats when they get colds and everything. Good luck and please let us know how he is doing.
