The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Aggghhh! Well someone in my local poultry group hatched them and didn't mention anything like that, she has pics of the adult hens, but I'll keep an eye out for pecking!
Hopefully the genes that causes that behavior are not normally passes on.

They are a healthy cross and lay a lot of eggs! They are a bit human avoidant but not too bad.

I'm bad. View attachment 1305284

I've started collecting for my next round of incubation... 5 buckeye & 3 chantecler so far.
No worse than me... I stuffed the last 8 holes in my auto Turner with duck eggs, since I have a separate Hatcher. Ran out of space for 10 duck eggs, so donated them to the local FFA/at teacher at the school I work at

Joining late! I've got 14 eggs in the bator due on Easter. 5 from Whole Foods which are developing perfectly and will be Leghorn x's and 9 shipped colorful eggs 8 of which have horribly wonky air cells and were mistreated by the post office, so we'll see. When I realized the air cells were saddled I switched them up right. Anyone have luck or tips hatching saddled eggs?
Yes, I've had saddle air sacs hatch just fine. I've also had wrong way pippers hatch fine.
