Could have been oppertunistic, found the remains, took it back to the nest?Thank you for that. We had a Osprey nest toward the back of our property this past summer (hopefully the bird doesn't return this year when they migrate back north!) We lost 3 hens in 4 weeks to unknown predators. Suspected a hawk, opossum & fox based on "crime scene" evidence. Now I'm suspicious of the Osprey. One of the hens remains were found under the tree the Osprey nest was in... hmmmm... could be coincidence. Not quite sure.![]()
