Is she deaf Chris or is this a natural trait of this breed the blue eyes?
It's a natural trait for this breed. They are known for having 2 different colored eyes also. The double Merle blindness does show up in this breed, but I think her eye color is called "glass."

Patti, this is from the UKC

I saw you won Runner eggs when do they arrive?
They should get here tomorrow. :D

Agility sounds like a good way to train this dog and work on energy. I use to do agility with my Golden Retriever and it's an awesome way to bond with your dog and get a lot of energy worked out. Obedience training too.
That would be great, and something the boys could take part in. Our last hound was a handful, and she did not work out. That was at a smaller property in yuppier neighborhood with to many darn Yorkies. Doesn't everybody know that Yorkies make good Hound snacks?! Xaiden was just born, and I was still working then too. All in all it Justi didn't work out.

Here I actually have enough room to make an agility course for her. I've got more time to dedicate to training. Plus, in a perfect world, I could train Loki & Dino too.

We'll see how it goes. I don't want to get my hopes up just to find out it's not going to work. Besides just talking to the fella, we'd need to do an intro with three dogs to see if they'd even get along. I've wanted another hound for about 6 years now, but it's got to be the right hound. The little bit I do know so far looks hopeful though.

Did he say why he was giving her up? I was thinking about that how your two would accept a new family member. We have 4 dogs but they all came with in a year apart so they are a pack. She is a beautiful dog love those blue eyes.
Basically from what I can tell is she's to high strung. Getting along with our current dogs is a top concern.

I've watched a few of his YouTube videos, and get the general feeling it's a loving home. In the video I posted of her jumping, he mentions his student, and another he talks about his chickens with joy. I thought this video gave a pretty good picture of him. He's a Florida fella, that's for sure. I love his beard!

I'm waiting on a call from a friend who takes her dogs to weekly classes. Her trainer is a personal friend of hers. I'm hoping to get some advice on how to proceed. I've had working dogs before but they where the only dog.
