From what I can tell she's too high strung. They said she is crate trained and knows basic commands, so she is at least trainable. Catahoula can be hard trainers, so I'm going to reach out to a few local trainers today. Price out some classes. I like and am good with working aka stubborn dogs, but I think at least a basic obedience class would be good for her and I both.
They have poultry there already but I'm not sure how Bella (heard her name in the video) is with birds yet. I'm actually not sure about much regarding her yet. She looks to be good with kids though, and it would be cool if the boys had their own dog.
Plus Catahoula are instinctively protective of strangers. I'm not looking for a guard dog, but taking care of its own is a great trait. I found this here early this morning.
