One of the Malay chicks. Check out how big it's legs are already. These 3 are the most curious chicks I've ever seen. As soon as I open the door they are right there checking me out. The one pictured here will walk right up on my hands if I put it in front of "him."

Wow! I have seen pics just wasn't putting it with that little chick. Are they gentle giants?
I sure hope so! :D
They are a game variety, so I'll need to be cautious, but they should do fine. If there is a cockerel, it'll either be a house bird, or rehomed. I'm hoping to just get 1-2 females to have around. I'll still need to be cautious as the females can be... difficult to mate with. I've read a couple of stories of American game females rejecting males to the point of killing/maiming the males. I don't think the Oriental game are that bad, but I'm sure they can be defensively choosy of their mates.

Now they should be great with humans. The chicks are already really easy to handle. Not scared of me, the kids, or dogs at all.

The hens are said to make great mothers. Not overly broody or great layers, but very committed once they sit. I'm not going to be breeding them, but it would be nice to use them for the occasional broody. Lol, I'd guess them to be some very safe chicks.
