I used to bird sit a quaker parrot for my old boss years ago. I sure enjoyed having that bird around I wanted to keep it. 
It could sing three blind mice.
It could answer, what does the dog say what does the cat say what does the donkey say..etc. It would yell "WHATCHA DOIN?" at you when you went in the other room
Then if you went in and covered the cage it would change it's volume to a whisper "whatcha doin?"
He never did get stranded on an island.
