Do any of you that “rehoming” roosters ever go back to check, or do you just take them at their word?

I figure a rehoming a rooster or anything edible is just giving them a free meal.

I probably won’t just because I don’t want to bug them but they were telling me about their flock when they first emailed me and were very talkative today so I think they’ll probably keep at least one of them.

They said that they had two roosters before but they lost them to hawks or owls so I think they were looking for replacements.

But I am sure that they will probably eat or rehome the others eventually but I’m fine with that. I even said in my ad I was hoping to find them homes but didn’t mind even people ate them either so I’m sure that probably helped them get rehomed fast haha

These people seemed like a nice family and honest so I don’t think they’ll eat all of them but I don’t mind even if they did.

I do think that the first person that contacted me definitely just wanted the free meals though lol

Oh I should also note that I don’t mind giving them meals even if that’s all they end up doing with them because I raised them myself and didn’t want to kill them :lau

Extended the small a-frame with a 4x4 run. It's about time for everyone to graduate to the next sized living quarters. In the next day or so the d'Uccle will be in the garage with the other bantams. Then the Khaki/Rouen ducklings will go in here.
