Okay when my Runners shipped last April they were fine the first 2 days also then one started acting lethargic and I lost it then the next day another I would have lost the other 2 is I hadn’t started the scrambled egg and the liquid b complex. Cackle called it shipping stress.
So I did a necropsy and researched into the symptoms and by the look of the two livers I just saw my guess is Duck Viral Hepatitis. Same exact symptoms for this third one that just died and the others had similar symptoms as well. One is still alive and has been acting fine except for the consistent chirping so I’m not sure if it is going to power through it or not. Now I get to worry about all the others coming down with the same things...

I was just thinking being separated might be why it’s constantly peeping can you give it a mirror for company? Since the others have already been exposed I can’t see separation is going to help unless it actually starts getting sick then just because it’s sick.

Oh it has been non stop chirping ALL day. I just separated them about two hours ago just because he has shown some symptoms and the others haven’t. But I was wondering if there is even a point to separate since I would think by now they have been exposed and are either going to get sick and die or not.

Good morning folks :frow Happy Easter :bun

Well guys, I am NEVER getting shipped ducklings EVER again. I feel like by the end of the next week I could practice veterinarian medicine. 😑 If it is not one duck with something wrong, another starts acting up. AGH! So this morning I thought all was well, other than waking up to a dead duckling, but now one is all the sudden not able to walk hardly and chirping consistently. It is very lethargic too. What in the world is going on with these babies?!
Jaykay, so sorry you're gong through this. I really hope the rest make it through:hugs

Did I post my Easter HAL quail chicks in here? The lighter colored one is a surprise and a mystery, for now. Would be nice if it was lavender and the mom was actually split for it, because that's what I'm trying to breed for.
