You can buy the vaccine but it only comes in 1000 dose vials so not really practical for small time occasional hatching like I do

All my other chickens were bought as chicks from a hatchery and vaccinated at the hatchery.

What kind of quail do you have? We are looking at getting some japanese quail and my son plans to sell the males and eggs to save up money for some Californian quail.

I've got Coturnix. They're fun, especially all the colors they come in. At the moment I've got like three color projects going with them, lol. Luckily they start laying at six weeks of age so it's a lot faster going with them than with chickens.

Good morning. I cleaned the two coops this morning. The older ducklings are going out today. That leaves me with the two "free" ducklings in the house until hatching starts on wed.
