It means they will tell you a foot or two of snow, nasty winds and cold.. then you will get a dusting of snow and 2 mph winds.

But they will get there revenue..

However, if by some rare alignment of the stars and Devine intervention they get it close to right, they will crow about how many lives they saved for a couple months..

( yep, it’s possible I am slightly jaded in my opinion of them)
No you're not! - We had a winter weather warning for today, they were promising inches of snow and we stayed bone dry. Now i am afraid for tomorrow, they predicted cold and bright sunshine… 😱

So you use them only as a shelter for fishing and nobody lives in there. I mean there's no kitchen and bed inside?
Edit: 4get my questions, i saw the pictures of the interiors. Do these things float when the ice break? I could not sleep in a trailer on the ice of a frozen lake!

Yes, people live in them a week or two at time..

No, they do not float.

They are safe, and will not go through the ice, as long as it’s thick enough. Our ice does not disappear overnight or even over a week. It will be safe to drive or camp on for 3 more months.

We have 16 inches of ice now, by the first of March we will have 3 ft or more ice.

My auger drills holes 3 1/2 feet. Most years, before the winter is over, I need to add a 18 inch extension to get through the ice.

It would be fun to take you fishing. Southies reaction to freezing ice on a cold day or night is lots of fun for us. When a lake is making ice, you hear lots of noises, bangs, cracking sounds, and almost thunder like roars coming from the lakes. Southies think the ice is breaking when it is actually growing.

:frow Good morning Ralphie, have a great day

I remember a couple guys wigging out when we started a fire in our shed... At the time the ice was about 3' thick. Same two guys also brought a hand Augur instead of one with a motor.

Did you got any snow? - We had an advisory too, but nothing came down, not even rain!
We had an inch, and it snowed off an on all day but temps got to 37 so nothing laid. It's okay with me though dealing with the ice after snow gets packed down isn't alot of fun.

Why do we even listen to them, long time ago a local weather man said what ever it says on your fence post is what it is.
