Elly with all the duckling you’ve had hatch sounds to me that your parents have been pretty good on the duckling front!!

The real problem is weather or not they're going to keep letting me feed them properly.

Elly,
Drakes and ducks are all you need to get started! You don't have to have show stopping, best of breed stock to start. You could always try to breed for specific traits within the stock you already have. You have some beautiful chocolates in your flock. Maybe try breeding for a Double Pied Chocolate Whirllygig. I have no idea if that's even a thing, but if you make it a thing, and stabilize, well then who's to say it's not!?

I do try to breed for size, color, and broodiness already as it is. I'm not even quite so worried about them not being SOP. I just want to learn the principles of it and how the different genes work together to make new colors. I do think it would be great if they were SOP, though.

Yeah, I'm praying! I have to do an experiment sometime probably in the next few weeks, and that experiment will probably determine weather or not we go back to feeding them oats or not.
I'm praying for the best!

Yes, they came from the same farm the NN came from. To be honest it probably wouldn't be so bad raising keets now that I have a bit more experience.

I got a few different angels of Mrs. Pearl today. Her little horn is starting to show a bit more. I like the color of her cheeks. Reminds me of her name.

She's been free ranging for about a week now. She stay very near thr Seramas, but it gives her a chance to be a guinea still, and to be honest, she seems much happier. She does much less pacing around and I love watching her forage.

Her little waddles are starting to curl now too. I can't wait to see what she looks like next month.

She's so cute! I've always wanted to have white guineas but I've never got them before.
Maybe next year!

I really hope this EE keeps the blue/gray colors. Besides the awkward feathering, I think she's beautiful.

Trim are you a photographer? Your pics always look so nice and mine are always blurry. I guess that might partly be because I take the pics with the Kindle which is horrible at taking pics, but your pics always look very nice.

This is the Silver Gray Dorking, and easily the nicest of the juveniles. When I open the brooder it's the only chick to actually come forward. At first I though the colors to be a bit plain, but I like them now.
