A wise chicken man once told me, the nature of a chicken comes down to the idividual. Well we have the ideal climate here for them by sounds of it. Are they exhibited often? I would assume such a pretty bird is but then again you don't see pheasants at shows over here. As for the whites, the only white chicken we ever managed to keep white was our Rhode island white named Rhonda
True, but it is also true that some breed lines are friendlier/tamer/docile than others. When I first started with serama they were wickedly mean. Now my flock is completely opposite. Personality, as a trait, can be selectively bred for.

Little project I'm working on... echidna wyandotte cross.

duck Math
Ok I ended up with 21 ducks. Way too many. I managed over time to rehome 10 of them. So 11 ducks, 9 hens 2 drakes. this was manageable. Then a bunch of eggs accidentally fell in the bator and I had 10 more ducks. I sold most of those and added 2 hens. So 13 ducks not ideal but ok. Then more eggs accidentally fell in and I couldn't sell them. So my duck reduction efforts went from 21 ducks to 26 ducks.
