Good morning, Patti and thank you!
We got some strong wind gusts over night but in general we are just getting the outer rain bands. Since we didn't lose power, the incubator goes on lockdown tonight. I need to candle them, but I think there's 3-4 viable eggs still. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some O Shamo. :fl
 
We're North east of Asheville takes about 45 minutes to an hr to get to Asheville depending on when we go.

I hope your dream comes true. You'll love being out of Florida, which to me is very over rated. I am a born and raised Floridan and will never go back. I love changes of season love the colors in fall the beauty when spring comes. Less bugs and mosquitos. Even winter and summers are better than Florida.

So what you're saying is, I might actually have a chance to get one of your beautiful Blue Runner drakes some day huh? :D

I'm ready to leave Fl and agree that it is over rated. Moving here was my mom's dream, but it's not my dream to grow old here. The older I get the less I want to deal with the heat down here, and it's only getting hotter. I want my kids to know what it's like to build a snowman. Heck I want to build a snowman!
 
Oh my gosh they'll love it you'll love it. When we first moved to Asheville it was mid August it would get into 50's at night we about froze. lol then by November when we went back to Fla for Thanksgiving The heat was awful we had already acclimated to NC temps. Our kids were in grade school and that first winter they stayed outside and played in temps in the 20's, the couple that had property behind us had pasture and all the kids in the neighborhood would go there to sled. Back then kids played outside a lot more than now. One nice thing and we already talked about that. When cold you can dress up but when really hot you can only take off so much or you'll be arrested lol
