Good morning / evening folks

I got buzzed by a young girl yesterday. She flew so close I could feel the wind from her wings on my ear. That doesn't top the one last year that landed on top of my head.

Coincidentally, as I was out feeding the hordes, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. Sure enough, hummingbirds in the burdock flowers!

Watched for a bit until the peeping from the coop became too insistent, as the young masters summoned their minion (me).

No humming birds here. Though we do have a hummingbird moth thats about same size and moves in the exact same way.

Don't think I've ever seen one outside of recordings, but those are so cool!

Another good one we get is the bogong (we say bogan) moth. Oddly the bigger the moth, the less people fear it. They tend to emerge at the start of the wet season

Its a miracle!!!!! Day 80 and it rained for 5 whole minutes.
