Thanks Chris seems its either too much or not enough lol

How's Paddy doing today?
Doing good. :yesss:
I just weighed them, and Paddy only gained 0.1g, but it's at least a gain. It has a difficult time navigating, but it's still eating and drinking. It's wing feathers are a bit more exposed. I'm not sure if that actually means anything, but it's at least progressing. I've got much more hope for Paddy than I did few days ago. :)

Well day one of the Odd Squad went well. No fighting, though the General did assert his pecking precedence right away. He dropped a wing, did some dancing and grabbed a couple of necks. It was pretty tame, and only lasted about 2 minutes.

So @HuffleClaw the Silkies actually acted like chickens yesterday! They spent most of their time near the guinea, but did quite a bit of pecking and scratching around. Maybe they are just to meek to be with the other birds. I don't know... Pearl, Flip and Flop are all submissive, and the General is pretty dominant.

Looking good!!what do your boys think of the chicks and all the birds you have?
They love it. Xaiden still asks me to get Annie out daily for him to handle her. He's pretty good at seeing her changes too. Her comb and waddles are starting to grow in a bit and turning red. Xaiden actually noticed it before I did. He likes to be involved in just about anything, but has a huge soft spot for animals. Lol, even the new cockerels that are 1/3 his size are "cuties."

Lol, Xaiden doesn't like waking up for school, and is like a teenager learning to use an alarm clock. I've had good success getting him to wake up and help me with the birds, but he's not always so excited to get up. This morning was one of those mornings. (by the way, I lost my spot in bed to him at 4am...) I grabbed the General, who was being particularly vocal, and went to get the sleep troll up. It was just as effective as I had hoped for. :D

Hey you may start a trend alarm roosters for getting kids up in the morning. I wish I’d gotten into birds when my kids were young. We always had dogs cats caged birds even a rabbit at one time had goats too but never chickens an ducks till we moved out here. Grandkids live to far away to have enjoyed it often. So that’s very cool your boys will grow up with birds and learn about caring for them and where their food comes from.
