So sorry to hear about the little ones. 😄

Be really careful with the combination of electricity, underground cables and rain! I remember Ā»locatingĀ« the underground cable that ran from my house to the duck-houseā€¦āš”
Well, lost the black kit 'overnight' (in quotations because it's 3 am and I've barely slept). Lesson learned: don't brag about the kits until they're self-sufficient.

This house is over a hundred years old, and there have been a bunch of issues with it. I wouldn't be surprised if there were all sorts of underground t00bs and stuff.

Good Sunday Morning and Evening to you All.

Thank the Lord instead of 14 we only went down to 23 yay!!! I love it when they are wrong!!
Weather Forecasting is the only job where you can be wrong 50% of the time and not get fired (and make a six figure salary, to boot!)

It's also a Non-Prophet Organization. šŸ˜‰

Good Sunday Morning and Evening to you All.

We went down to -4° (25F) instead of the "promised" -6°(21F)
But the persistent wind pushed enough cold air through all the little cracks and (i assume) the floorboards on my patio that the temperature inside of my little greenhouse, standing on the patio dropped to -0.8° (30.5F), just below freezing…
Again, that greenhouse-cabinet is standing on the covered patio with an electric space-heater, set to minimum. That thing must have been running all night long…
Fortunately i have not planted any pepper or tomato seeds yet and the kale and cabbage that i'm pre-growing is able to tolerate a light frost.
The ducks abandoned the duck-run, their living room and the entrance hall and all huddled together in both bedrooms…

Happy Sunday everybody!

Or better šŸŒžday! - The šŸŒž is shining from an almost cloud free blue sky as a promise of the warmer temperatures to come… It is just 4° (39F) outside and the light wind makes it feel like the south-pole (of Mars!).
I am planning to have the chicken-wire completed around the berry garden today. The ducks have discovered the strawberry plants and have no patience to wait for the actual berries. They love to nibble on the strawberry leaves…
