We actually had really warm weather for a week, then it dropped to 'normal', then a few days of hot, then more cold. Mother Nature found a yoyo, I think.

So much is blooming here I just hated to see it all melted from the frost but everything looks good so far.

Last year, we got about a foot of snow in April, after everything had thawed. I screamed.

This year, it's mostly the ups and downs, plus that nasty ice storm we got.

At least those late snowfalls melt faster. We've had them come in April too but last few years we've hardly had any snow to even mention. Ice is the worst makes it really hard to get around.

I thought more of a seesaw or a roller-coaster, but a Jojo also describes the pattern. We were around the freezing mark last night, fortunately i brought all the pepper and tomato seedlings/plants to my porch where it stayed around 5° (~35F).
