Oh I love the wellies!! Interesting tidbit...they're the Kellogg's corn flakes rooster! I have 2 Welsummer mixes that are olive eggers.

View attachment 1907003 One of my OEs...not been broody yet but she takes her dear sweet time getting out of the nest after laying.
She's adorable! Thanks for sharing the picture. Do you know off what what kind of roo fathered your EOs?
I'm looking forward to having the Wellies around around. The more I read about them the more I'm happy to have them.

Top of the morning folks!

We're supposed to get a fair bit of rain this weekend if the storm off the coast doesn't drift more to the east.

My glasses are currently broke, so I'm not wearing them while out and about at places like, the feed store. When I got home and put my glasses on, I noticed what I think to be a male Wellie... :he I hope not, but going by the pics I saw, I'm pretty sure it is. They sure are cute though, so who cares for now?!

Paddy is doing great, and a has responded well to the new chicks. I'm just going to call Paddy a female in high hope of not having a mostly blind longcrower rooster. So... She was a bit more active last night, and actually walking around a bit more. The chicks all curled up in the "cool cave" and napped together.

The O Shamo has learned it can jump on top of the cool cave which is about as tall as it is. Time to upgrade to a bigger brooder. This O Shamo seems much livelier than the previous 2. I'm trying to not get to attached yet, but I am very happy with how it's going so far. :fl

I'll be making a trip to Orlando to visit another local owned feed shop today. I want to get some price quotes on feed and so forth. I am hoping after tax season to just be able to make their feed. It would be awfully nice to just have it on hand. It'd also be nice to get a better understanding of what the birds are actually eating, too.

Anywho, I'm going to try and McGyver some stuff together today. I hope everyone is have a grand ole' time!
