I got my ducklings outside for a much needed bath and sunshine today. They are no help with chores.
They ain't no foller ya ducks.
I stole them from their parents after losing 5 of them due to mean moms killing each others babies.

That's a very interesting picture, it looks almost like an oil-painting.

No clue! I ordered from them once before the started eggs incident, and that time I hatched four ducklings from 10 eggs, which is not bad for shipped eggs. These last two times, I've have the started eggs, and now no eggs developing.

So shipping eggs is really bad? - 4 out of 10 eggs, i consider terrible. But then the only eggsperience i have are broody ducks...

Shipping eggs is just hard on the eggs. It can crack them, of course, or it can cause enough damage that they can't develop. So when you buy shipped eggs, it's always a bit of a gamble. 50% is considered to be a good hatch rate. Often I get more than that, but sometimes you lose the gamble, too.

First duckling seems to be nice, but i'm sure that's just a deception, that's the big boss duck.
Second picture, that's the paid assassin, be very careful!
Third picture - some kind of fresh caught sea-food?
Last picture, that duckling has the guilty look! - Have you checked the vegetables garden today?

Then what do you make out of these four, half molten ducklings?

Especially that khaki coloured! - I don't have any brown ducks! Yes, i have Buff Orpingtons but that brown is way darker than the Buffies...
