Same here, the toads have started to quack over night. At first i though some of the dux have escaped… And it is supposed to be cold for the next two weeks. It's so warm that frogs etc have started their migrations in some places. Also the ducks are running at speed around the orchard even before gobbling up the morning's peas which is unheard of, so I figure they must be seeing little bugs or worms emerge. As I understand it ducks have really good vision, higher resolution than humans. Certainly better vision than mine which is not hard to achieve.

Well she lost her half toe this morning somewhere in the yard. So no toes left on her left foot but she's walking even better. And despite that she is on the way to recovery? What a tough duck!
It's amazing how well animals can adjust to their handicap. So glad she is doing so well.Well she lost her half toe this morning somewhere in the yard. So no toes left on her left foot but she's walking even better.
So her new name now is Floppy-Foot? - Just kidding! I am shivering just thinking about the pain and the fear she must have gone through.Well she lost her half toe this morning somewhere in the yard. So no toes left on her left foot but she's walking even better.
She is such a pretty duck. Is she a white layer? I forgot what breed she was. She did seem to be using that right leg more. I think in time it will be fine. And another bathtub-video from Blanca Duck:
I hope it is not wishful thinking, but it seems she is using her right leg somewhat more to paddle.
Shea extremely positive happy duck. She's seems happy to be rid of those toes. As they were dead she seems relived they are gone and is walking much better. Her webbie is now normal when she walks. Despite the limp she's a speedy little thing. So her new name now is Floppy-Foot? - Just kidding! I am shivering just thinking about the pain and the fear she must have gone through.
