Olive came to me with her name already, How old is your Olive mine is 4 yrs old.
i think she’s 1.5 yr now. i received her from someone here on BYC who needed to rehome her , her name was Carla- i changed it to Olive. she also gave me a a Khaki named Ghislaine - now she is Acorn 😁
then when one of my chickens went broody i put eggs from Olive & Acorn under her, now We have Olive’s son- Pickles! and Acorn’s daughter- Pistachio! lol

one good thingView attachment 3925966Poppy is still with us now 6 months later but still has her troubles breathing many days😮‍💨 i still give her nebulizer treatments most days and recently decided to give her a round of amoxicillin to see if it makes any difference. i think maybe it’s helping we are just on day 3. otherwise she runs around and eats and drinks, plays with the other ducks like normal., and she does drink a lot of water.
You know that amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and has no antifungal effect? - Maybe Poppy has a "simple" bacterial infection?
I do hope the amoxicillin helps her! 🤞🏻
What about a new picture of Poppy?

yes. but i’ve heard of combined treatments and thought it worth a shot. we tried Baytril 6 months ago also dewormer for gape but neither helped. she and I are really tired of the crate & nebulizer twicea day treatments after 6 months of on and off with that. figured why not give ammox a shot.

Dark Green Bill and pale yellowish legs and feet…
Is she laying currently?
If you can, try to feed her some shredded red-cabbage which is full of Anthocyanins and other nutrients that are good for laying ducks. Its a general health booster.
Also, if you can get hour hands on some hot really peppers, like Serrano or Habañero (i mean that figuratively, don't put your hands on these hot peppers without gloves!) - those hot peppers are not hot for ducks (or any other birds) but they make life really "hot" for any parasites (worms especially) living in the digestive tract. And those are also an eggcellent source for vitamins.
And great treats, my ducks would do a lot of bad things for a Jalapeño pepper... really bad things!

Dear Wild Wabbits of West Virginia!

Please accept my sincere apology for cussing and cursing about you innocent fluffy beings, who would never dare to hop into my vegetable beds and rasp off parts of my valuable cucumbers.

Today i found the actual culprit:
full
I came home from the farm store, where i bought cat-food and parts for a new fence to secure Sunnys family when i found her together with ⅔ of a cucumber…
You got busted Missy! - It wasn't the wabbits like you always claimed!
