Only place mine could be hiding them is in the mud.

Well, that is a beginning. First it was that hungry, hungry black drake out of the duckling flock of Laura and Tweedledee that dared to pick up food from my hand. Then the others saw that i did not grab and ate him and one by one they joined. - Despite Laura and Tweedledee scolding at me.

Mine don't like peas that much but mealworms will get them to do just about anything.

Most of my flock would do everything for cat-food.
For meal-worms they would mine unobtanium by the pound!

lol when I first swiped drakes it auto corrected to freaks lol lol

my flock is
6 hens @8+yr
1 hen @6yr
6 hens @1.5yr
3 hens @2-3 months
2 ‘freaks’ @2-3 months

my hope is the freaks don’t overly annoy the older hens

On this rare occasion, the auto-correct is correct…

Have you seen any alligators?

Thankfully not, but way more snakes and frogs this year! Although that may be because the birds aren't free-ranging.

Years ago when we lived in Florida we took a road trip to Everglades National park got our campsite and walked down to a beautiful spring of crystal clear water getting all excited about going swimming when an Alligator comes swimming up. Changed our minds pretty fast.

They've erected fences now on either side of Alligator Alley, the highway that cuts through the Everglades. Wish I could have driven it before that. A trucker friend of mine told me about all the gators just strolling across the road!

Wow I guess they had to I sure wouldn't want to run over a gator they have huge ones there.
