Mine don't like peas that much but mealworms will get them to do just about anything.

I found where the ducks have been hiding eggs. I can’t get to them, but they can’t get in there again. I found a dozen under a new bush today too so they must have needed a secondary location when the primary was occupied. I hope I got that resolved, little brats.

I just had to fence off under one of my coops where they were laying and to get to the eggs I had to get on hands and knees and use a rake, nope not going to do that.

i just want to share this because it’s so weird. i decided to take out the cage from the duck house that i was using for the 2 newest lings to integrate . i expected to hear a lot of quackery when they went in, but there was just this dead silence. and it stayed silent as it got darker ( i stayed outside to listen) and they are still quiet . it’s just so weird.

I have always been able to add new ones to my flock with no problems at all. They are usually in a large separate pen for a couple of weeks but I have had some that were older and just put them in there and the others acted like they were just old friends that came along. My Ducks do great with others so I am very fortunate.

Mine also like to hide theirs. Yesterday I only got 1 but today found 4. Hopefully they are not burying them some place.

... But the good part is that when I get into their house to shoo them out, instead of running in circles and fully ignoring the door, they now actually get out, well most of them anyway

how many hens and what ages
how many drakes and what ages

lol when I first swiped drakes it auto corrected to freaks lol lol

my flock is
6 hens @8+yr
1 hen @6yr
6 hens @1.5yr
3 hens @2-3 months
2 ‘freaks’ @2-3 months

my hope is the freaks don’t overly annoy the older hens
