They are sooooo adorable!!!!! It's great that you can do it this time of year. I was so glad when I bought my last ones in late August that I was able to move them outside before winter. I only had three and they stayed pretty small being Black East Indies ducklings. It will be really interesting to see how yours look when they get their adult feathers.

Yes, it's spring here so thanks to these forums we all get to see babies all year long! I would take a photo now they have fluffed... but they are so messy!!!

Hi Supercow! - Hi Quack Shack!
Emotional roller-coaster Tuesday was my last day as an employee, a very emotional day, the "doomed" opened a session on the internal instant messenger and were chatting until security kicked us out at 6pm PDT.
Since then i am trying to find a new daily routine and not to fall into that "why even get out of my bed" trap. The ducks are very helpful with that challenge.
I promise to catch up with you by the end of the week…

I can't find any plants on my property where they once grew. I blame this year's drought…

I guess I’ll do before I got heated buckets bust ice and bring out water from the house. Hopefully it won’t get down below freezing and stay for a while yet. we have some low 30’s for morning coming up but then it kind of moderates.we had a state trooper come by for a wellness check yesterday and he said 3-4 weeks before power is restored.

A month without electricity?! - We were cut off in 2008 for five days after Hurricane Ike and that was a terrible experience. Good Luck! All the best wishes and crossing fingers that the linemen can fix it sooner.

My ducks do have a ramp that leads to the second level and most of the ducks go up there. Here the drakes don't get it!
