Busy but good here thanks! My daughter who is on an internship in the US just experienced Thanksgiving. We were a little puzzled as to why it's not a 4-day weekend. Why go back to work just for Friday? Mind you, I believe you don't have a 4-day weekend for Easter, either. How many weeks do most businesses close down for over Christmas and New Year there? It's 2-3 here.

My son who is in manufacturing gets off a week at Thanksgiving and 2 weeks for Christmas this is without pay.

I use a descretionary holiday for Thanksgiving, but I just get Thanksgiving and Christmas off. I get 7 fixed and 3 floating holidays that I can use at my discretion.
