Howdy Everyone I bet when @duluthralphie was once upon a time a toad he got kissed by a beautiful damsel and turned into a Dux prince. The ending of a beautiful fairy tale. Hey Chris Congrats on those precious chicks!!

Today was Tom's celebration of life. We were all running around crazy and stressed out trying to get ready. Mary and I where both a bit distracted thinking about Tom's death. About 10 minutes before we needed to leave is when I found out about the chicks hatching. I don't think there could have been a better time either. We went from being on time to 30 minutes late enjoying the chicks, but it was a nice touch of irony. Seeing new life just before sending off an old life was a gift. I'm going to name the 2 chicks from today Tom & Ruth Ann.

I met Tom's best friend today. He was a very pleasant man who was accompanied by his wife and granddaughter. His daughter died just 2 weeks before Tom did leaving behind the the cute little 5 year old girl I met. His daughter's name was Chrissy, and I'm going to name the remaining egg after her. I did check the egg tonight and can hear it scratching around.

Nugget is officially a mother! There is one egg to go, but she's not rejecting it. I'm starting to wonder if it's not the AC hen who's been laying eggs instead of the 55F... That chick is awfully black, toe nails too.
