Good Morning Chris! How's those new chicks doing and mama?

Mornin Everyone!!
Doing great! The last egg still needs to externally pip, but it should be close. The first 2 are already pecking around with mom.

Should I be concerned about momma being off the other egg or is it likely just breakfast time? It's very alive and cheeping in it's shell. .

Kendra what did you decide about Ollie?
He'll live for now. He has been moving his foot up more, not sure about his brother but his limp is actually 99% gone and we haven't done anything with him yet except give him antibiotics. Not sure how but I'll have to check his foot and get the scab off. Ollie has made little improvement within the weekend. I'll take a picture of his leg and hip and see what I can do for him, I'm not able to tell if the staph has spread, it's been cold out (I read in another thread cold slows it down?) and he has been able to get his leg up over his, he is really fighting right now, he's perked and aware, he loves to get around to. The only problem is he has been scraping his foot from dragging it, other than that he seems fairly fine for his condition.

Very lovely. Hope everything is going well.

Bless his heart. Cold weather will not slow down staff inside ones body where temps stay warm maybe In frozen ground? It’s so hard to get anything done when the weather won’t cooperate. If at all possible I’d try to at least keep some kind of antibiotic ointment on any place that’s open and try an keep him as clean as possible.
