Isn't that a hoot. They learn fast though. lol
Aww sorry you broke your glasses I'd be absolutely lost and pert near blind if mine were not usable.

Ollie is adorable. :love
Oh Adam has healed and just about all the purple is gone from his comb now.
It was pretty darn funny. I happened to just open the door and see this yellow fluff ball go rolling lol.

That's great that Adam is doing better! Is he getting his spunk back? Have you decide what to do with the Cochin boys?

Cochin boys have been food since last Sunday. We hated to have to do it but we hadn't any choice they were also starting up with the hens being obnoxious. Yes Adam is getting his spunk back and watching Rufus our oldest Roo who hasn't ever been mean to him but does let him know he is in charge.

It's great you can still be out to enjoy your birds especially the mama and chicks. It's cold here and not a lot of fun just hanging outside right now. I miss not being able to sit out and be with mine.

It's sometimes my favourite part of the day. There are those few that just light up my day, and make the struggles of day to day life seem to melt away.

Alright, it'll be a challenge handling the guineas..
If you can catch them, and they have mites, the mites will transfer to your hand. That's assuming it's an infestation vs just a few. The recent momma had them pretty bad and simply picking her up deposited 50+ mites on my hand. The chicks that just had a few though did not do that when picking up.

I wouldn't use your hand as a definitive test, but if there is a whole lot on and a bird, and that bird is hard to catch, touching it should be enough.
