Annie has decided to go broody too. She's been treating mewe for the last week, but yesterday she officially stated sitting. She sur is pretty all fluffed out.

You have Hibiscus blooming in Dec? How pretty!!
Mama sure has those babes tucked up doesn't she?

That's a nice group of birds there.

I was pretty surprised to see the hibiscus too. It was the only flower on a 10' tall plant.

Nugget is begging such a good mom. I just can't get over how advanced the chicks are compared to incubated chicks. It's freaking magical to watch!

It really is and if she's like my bantams she'll keep them with her quite a while too. Just goes to show us mama always know best they have been doing the incubating and raising a lot longer than us.

six more of her eggs are either being sat on or incubated.

Your going to have chicks coming out of your ears. Well that would be pretty hard to do. But at least over winter it gives us northerners something to follow along with.
Wait till Nugget takes the chicks up on the roost and tucks them under her wings that is just so precious especially when they are almost as big as her.

I'll be going to see Tim's patent the first time since his cremation. I've been avoiding it, but I need to find a way to get some closure. Every time I think of him I either get angry or sad. He was my best friend, and obviously not coming back. I'd like to be able to remember the good rather than mourn the loss. It's been 243 days since his death and I've thought about him every day. It's time to move on some.
