They're adorable! So it did end up being that they're phoenix/dorking crosses?

So, my ko shamos are in my garage for the winter because they are not what you would call winter hardy, lol. My pair of naked neck romanian tumbler pigeons are also in my garage. The hen is sitting on an egg as of today (should be two eggs but she only ever lays one, sigh) and the male will be taking his turn too.

Anyway, I like to let my ko shamo pairs out to 'free range' the garage for a bit each day. They like to clean up the pigeon seed that the pigeons fling out of their cage. Well, apparently Cyril (pigeon cock) decided that my ko shamo cock was too close to the cage, and he sidled over to posture at him. Ko shamos, being gamebirds, DO NOT back down from fights, so I got to stand there and watch my stupid birds posture and fight with each other through the bars without actually being able to get at each other.

Eventually I just left them to it and went off to do stuff. I'm sure the pigeon was smart enough to realize they were getting nowhere and walk away. Just as I'm sure the ko cock was trying to fight him though the bars until the end, lol.

It looks that way. He didn't confirm if the roo had 5 toes, but he does have an elaborate tail.

I'll have to get a picture of my little fighter, lol. And maybe his girlfriend. I don't know why, but I can never get the hens to pose nice for pictures. And they're trained to pose in show cages, darn it, so I know they know how.

This is my actual Dorking. I've only got the one, but she is a super sweetheart. She likes to just jump on your arm or shoulder when you walk by and take a ride while she chatters in your ear. I got her on a whim and have been kicking myself ever since for not getting more. She's just hatchery quality, but she's pretty darn cool. Yes, I'm wearing my pajamas on a Sunday afternoon.

Yes! Hatch the ducks. My incubators been sitting empty since October, I'm thinking of getting smaller more practical one
