The Quack Shack

Some people were never fed their poddy lambs growing up and it shows (sorry.... popular saying over here not meaning to offend anyone  )
Not offended at all. Just don't bring up fragua. Last time it was brought up things went nuclear.

So...I'm going to get on the soap box about foi gras (not sure I spelled it correctly)

I realize people eat it, but the practice is absolutely disgusting to me. Nothing enrages me more than commercial food operations! 😡🤬
But on the bright side... there is a guy "Eduardo Sousa" in Spain that is raising ethical foi gras. He has lots of land, and his geese have been crossbred (naturally) with the wild geese in the area. They are dumpy and happy enough that they don't fly to migrate, but they still pack on extra weight in the fall to do so. He's seeded his land with high fat/protein/carb forage. It was actually quite fascinating to see the amount of thought and time his family has put into it, they've been doing it for generations.

I tend to avoid the f word. Atleast our little lambs had a very loved life. Todays been interesting. Found our first snake of summer this morning. A grey eastern brown. It left the chickens traumatized. And its last day of holidays for the 2 bigger kids. I'm shocked I have 2 in school as of tomorrow
