So today is already been eventful in a way I did not foresee coming. For starters one of my neighbors had a slight emergency to attend to and asked me if I could watch his cat. Normally I would have no problem with that, but this is a cat that likes to stalk my birds. On top of that he said the cat needed to remain in the carrier, or we would never get them back in it.

This cat does not want to be in this carrier. He weighs about 25 lb, and is thrashing to the point he almost rolled the carrier.

I feel a bit bad for him, but this... creature, is a pest to me...

Then about 30 minutes later, my neighbor who moved, their old landlord show up (at her house). I've heard a fair amount of nasty stuff about this woman. I'm an adult, form my own opinions and so on, but in general our first meeting was slanted. Ironically, I've known this woman for almost a year now. Her granddaughter and my son we're in the same class, and we saw each other every morning. Only thing it really did though was just make the meeting a little bit more awkward.

Then for the second time this week, my nephew walked or of the house to leave and didn't bother telling me. He's 23 and an adult, also not my son. However, my son of 11 months was in the house alone now... I'll be having a chat with him this afternoon about his future here. I typically sweat completely through a shirt before the sun's even up, while I watch somebody enjoy the modern conveniences of the home that we pay for... At 23, I still busted my rump before the sun came up. Not because I'm awesome, but because that's what it took... I'm very frustrated right now...

THIS CAT HAD GOTTA GO! :smack

I'd like to dedicate this song, and pictures to the memory of Timmy, my best friend. He died this past Easter, and I'm really missing him. I couldn't have asked for better qualities in a friend. I just wish I could've ask for more time. Tim was with me through the death of a girlfriend I was deeply in love with. We'd sit there and listen to this 10-15 times daily.

Between Tim and I, we'r had over 30 thousand hours of cooking experience, and it's something we did together all the time. Tim was present for all of the pictures minus today's swimming ducks. He would have gone crazy for the ducks...

Okay, I needed some stress relief this afternoon. No time to wallow or fret the small.

I love music, like really love it, all kinds. For 2 years straight I was in the top 1% of users on pandora in regards to used bandwidth.
Music > television
I've moved on from pandora (so i lost my stat tracker :(... nerdy, but i like it) but still listen to 10+ hours of music daily. Music is the language of the soul. It's what feelings sound like. It's art. My point is expect to experience more music here. Post some music videos too you guys! You won't like everything I do, I won't like everything you do, but it's a form of expression and therefore holds value in its own self. Okay maestro, lets go!

I went and grabbed a dozen minnows and let the youngsters have a hunt today. It was so much fun. At first they didn't even seem to notice then till the on in the pictures finally chased and caught a fish. Then it was a frenzy of flaps, flops, and splashes. In the pictures, is the duckling in the center, aka, yellow streaks from under the black runner. ;)

Everybody also got mealworms this afternoon. Although all the birds liked them, the ducklings seemed to not really be interested. Not Terry though, he snagged a few right from my hand. I hope his brave nature is not the sign of a dominating drake, I really like him.

They are getting big and fast! Fast in growth and running. Speaking of which, is there anything cuter than a young runner trying to run across grass?

Okay, let's see. Not to long ago I gave the pekin some credit for being smarter than I thought. Now I'm wondering if I had a lapse in judgement...
For starters, team flappy foot flattened another 72 plants! I plant large numbers for various reason, lose being one... 72 of 72 though is a bit much.
Luckily these are just germinating, but peppers are a pain to germ...

You might be wondering why the ducks are in my indoor garden tent... After they realised their food was in the shack, they've been venturing in here with me. For whatever reason, something scared the one in the back, it started running and the others followed.

This is them an hour later with no intention of leaving.

I've been transitioning them in to the shack at night. In an effort to "join them" since i can't beat them (that's illegal ;) ) I swapped the plants for shavings. Big shocker, they have no problem with it...

The pink color is the grow light and was only on for the effects of this picture. I'm still not sure what to think about these 4, but they are pretty funny at times.

Okay, time for bed. The alarms start ringing in 3 hours.
G'night folks
